Intangible AI Secures $4 Million in Seed Funding to Democratize 3D World Creation

Intangible AI, a startup revolutionizing the creative process, has secured $4 million in seed funding to launch its innovative AI-powered 3D world creation tool. This game-changing platform allows users to generate 3D world concepts using text prompts, making it an invaluable resource for professionals and everyday users alike.

The company's mission is to make the creative process accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical expertise. With its tool, creatives from various industries, including filmmakers, game designers, event planners, and marketing agencies, can bring their ideas to life without needing to learn complex coding. Additionally, everyday users can utilize the platform to visualize home design and small art projects.

Leading the charge at Intangible AI is Charles Migos, a seasoned designer with a impressive background, having served as the lead designer for Apple's first-party iPad apps and vice president of product development at Unity. Migos' co-founder, Bharat Vasan, is an accomplished entrepreneur who previously co-founded Basis, a wearables company acquired by Intel. The duo's vision is to empower creatives to harness the power of generative AI, making 3D creation more accessible and user-friendly.

Migos conceived the idea for Intangible AI while working at Unity, a platform used by millions of game developers. He realized that the people making creative decisions weren't using Unity Editor, and with the advent of AI, he saw an opportunity to create a tool that would make 3D accessible to a broader audience. "With the advent of AI, I realized that it was going to be entirely possible to make 3D accessible to people who can't now, and package that in a way where generative AI and 3D creation tools were designed for professional creatives," Migos explained.

The Intangible AI platform is designed to be incredibly user-friendly, allowing users to dive into 3D creation without needing to learn complex coding. By simply providing text prompts, users can leverage AI to construct a comprehensive 3D world, designing a city or landscape from scratch. The platform features a 3D canvas editor, where users can easily drag and drop elements from a library of around 6,000 3D assets, including people in different poses, trees, roads, vehicles, and more.

In addition to its 3D creation capabilities, the platform also features storyboard capabilities, enabling filmmakers to manipulate camera angles and organize scenes in order. After the initial design phase, users can switch to "Visualizer mode," which uses AI image generation to render the scene more vividly. Intangible AI leverages various AI models, including Deepseek, Llama, and Stable Diffusion, among others.

The platform also boasts collaboration capabilities, allowing teams to share links to their web-based projects and work together in real-time, gathering feedback and making adjustments on the fly. Currently in closed beta, users can apply for early access, and the company reports that it has already attracted interest from hundreds of creatives, including major film and gaming studios.

In June, Intangible AI will officially launch, offering both a free tier and paid subscription options, ranging from $15 to $50 per month. Users will also have the option to purchase additional credits for image and video generation. The recent funding round was led by A16z Speedrun, Crosslink Capital, and several angel investors.

The capital raised will be allocated not only for product development but also for hiring. The company currently has a team of 10 people, including Philip Metschan, the lead product designer who previously worked at Pixar and ILM. Intangible AI plans to double its team size this year, further solidifying its position as a leader in the AI-powered creative tools space.
