In a bid to stay ahead of the competition, social media platform X has rolled out "Radar," a real-time trend analysis tool, to its Premium+ subscribers. This move comes as newcomers like Bluesky and Threads increasingly challenge X's dominance.
Initially launched as "Insights" for Verified Organizations, Radar offers marketers real-time insights into emerging trends and conversations on the platform. The tool allows for keyword analytics, trend activity visualization, and real-time conversation filtering. Additionally, Radar tracks conversation velocity, enabling marketers to plan the best time to post and reach their desired audience.
The rebranded Radar will be available to Premium+ subscribers, who pay $16 per month or $168 per year, starting Monday. This high-end subscription package includes features like a verified checkmark, post editing, and an ad-free experience.
While Radar's early version has some limitations, such as only searching up to three days back, users have praised its improved search algorithm. They have also suggested additional features, including more filtering options and integration with X Pro, the desktop app formerly known as TweetDeck.
X's move to launch Radar is seen as a strategic response to the growing competition in the social media space. By providing Premium+ subscribers with a powerful trend analysis tool, X aims to maintain its edge and attract more businesses to its platform.
