TechCrunch's Found podcast, which has been bringing listeners the stories behind the startups since April 2022, has released its final episode. As a host of the podcast since November 2022, I've had the privilege of speaking to over 75 founders about the startups they're building, and I've learned a great deal from their experiences.
As I reflect on my time hosting Found, I'm reminded of the diverse range of founders and startups we've featured on the show. From AI and climate to ecommerce and higher education, our guests have come from many different backgrounds and are working on innovative solutions to real-world problems.
In the final episode, I took a look back at some of my favorite episodes, which showcase the best of what Found has to offer. These episodes feature founders who didn't just pitch their products, but instead offered a clear-headed account of both building their companies and the trials and tribulations of startup life.
One of my favorite episodes features Howie Liu, co-founder and CEO of Airtable, who shared the fascinating story of how his company's design was inspired by one of his favorite animated movie characters. Another standout episode is with Nick Frosst, co-founder of Cohere, who brought a refreshing dose of realism to the often-hyped AI startup market.
Other notable episodes include conversations with Tade Oyerinde, chancellor of Campus, who's building an accredited online community college; Nicolas Green, co-founder and CEO of Thrive Market, who's disrupting the healthy grocery market; and Rebecca Hu, co-founder of Glacier, who's using computer vision to train robots to sort recycling.
These episodes, along with 10 others, showcase the diversity and creativity of the startup ecosystem. They offer valuable insights and lessons for entrepreneurs, investors, and anyone interested in the world of startups.
While Found may be coming to a close, its legacy will live on through the stories and experiences of the founders we've featured. As the startup ecosystem continues to evolve, I'm excited to see how the lessons and insights from Found will shape the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.
So, if you're looking for inspiration, guidance, or just a glimpse into the world of startups, I encourage you to check out Found's archives and explore the many amazing stories we've shared over the past year.
