Sendstack Co-Founder and COO Ifeoma Nwobu Departs Amidst Company's Ambitious Revenue Targets

Sendstack, a Norrsken-backed logistics startup, has undergone another significant change with the departure of its co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Ifeoma Nwobu. The company confirmed her exit, but declined to provide further information on the circumstances surrounding her departure.

Nwobu's departure comes as Sendstack sets its most ambitious target yet – reaching $1 million in revenue by 2025, four times what it earned in the past three years. The company has undergone significant pivots in recent months, shutting down its last-mile delivery aggregator, DLVR, in October due to scalability challenges. Sendstack then shifted its focus to fleet management for corporate clients, and more recently, has integrated AirTag-like trackers into its model.

As the sole leader of the approximately 5-person team, Emeka Mba-Kalu, Sendstack's CEO, will now be responsible for navigating the company through this series of shifts. Nwobu's exit marks a significant change in the company's leadership, as she played a central role in leading operations and sales, as well as representing Sendstack at pitch and demo events. Her 2023 pitch at a demo day by Norrsken, a popular accelerator and one of Sendstack's backers, went viral, earning praise for her clarity and conviction.

Before co-founding Sendstack, Nwobu worked with Mba-Kalu at his now-defunct e-commerce startup, Scrader, which she cited as an inspiration for Sendstack's founding. She initially served as head of growth at Sendstack before becoming a co-founder and COO in August 2021. Prior to her career in tech, Nwobu was a supermodel for five years and also founded Frugirls, a thrift fashion business.

Despite her departure, Sendstack has raised only $350,000 from Norrsken, ODX, and a few angel investors. The reasons behind Nwobu's exit remain unclear, as both she and Sendstack CEO Mba-Kalu declined to comment on the circumstances surrounding the split.

The departure of Nwobu raises questions about the future direction of Sendstack and its ability to achieve its ambitious revenue targets. As the company continues to navigate its recent pivots and leadership changes, it remains to be seen how it will adapt to these challenges and position itself for success in the competitive logistics startup landscape.
