Samsung is gearing up for its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025, where the tech giant is expected to unveil its latest flagship Galaxy S25 smartphones. In anticipation of the event, Samsung is offering a $50 credit to customers who preorder the devices before January 22nd.
The credit can be redeemed towards any additional devices or accessories purchased alongside the Galaxy S25, but unfortunately, it cannot be used towards the device itself. To take advantage of the offer, customers simply need to sign up on Samsung's website or through the Shop Samsung app by January 22nd at 1 PM ET, providing only their name and email address.
The Galaxy S25 family is expected to include the base model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and possibly other variants. Rumors suggest that the devices may feature a new design, with a recent video leak hinting at a curvier chassis for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Additionally, the devices may be among the first to support the wireless charging standard, Qi2 Ready, although this would require cases to work with magnetic Qi2 chargers.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is also expected to play a central role in the Galaxy S25 series, building on Samsung's existing Galaxy AI features. These include Circle to Search, computational photography and video tricks with generative photo manipulation, summarized notes and transcriptions, and live translations. The company is likely to continue developing this experience as part of its One UI 7.
The Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22nd may not only focus on smartphones, as the fine print of the preorder offer mentions a $100 credit towards qualifying 2025 TVs or audio devices. This suggests that Samsung may be unveiling other products at the event, potentially including some of the models announced at CES 2025.
For those interested in staying up-to-date on the latest tech deals, Samsung's offer is a great opportunity to get a head start on the upcoming Galaxy S25 devices. With the event just around the corner, fans of the Galaxy series will be eagerly awaiting the official announcement and the chance to get their hands on the latest flagship smartphones.
In the meantime, Samsung has been making headlines with its other initiatives, including the rollout of a smartphone subscription service next month and the announcement of its Ballie AI robot, which is expected to be released this year. As the tech industry continues to evolve, Samsung's moves are likely to have significant implications for the market and its competitors.
