Read AI, a startup offering AI-powered meeting transcription and note-taking services, has raised $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Smash Capital. This comes just six months after the company's $21 million Series A round, demonstrating its rapid growth and adoption.

The new funding will be used to accelerate product development and expand integrations with email, Slack, and enterprise tools like Hubspot, Jira, and Confluence. Read AI's AI bot is designed to assist users across various platforms, providing a more comprehensive and integrated experience.

The company has seen significant growth, with over 100,000 new accounts created across enterprises and individual users since its Series A round. Read AI's valuation has also seen a bump to match its growth, although the exact figure was not disclosed.

The startup is releasing a new Chrome extension that displays schedules, meeting reports, and insights from meetings, further enhancing its product offerings. This move is seen as a strategic differentiator in a crowded market, where AI-powered transcription services are becoming increasingly commoditized.

Smash Capital's co-founder and managing partner, Brad Twohig, praised Read AI's product-led growth model and its ability to cater to both individual users and enterprises. The startup plans to expand its staff from 40 to 100 employees by the end of Q1 2025.

With this funding round, Read AI is well-positioned to continue its rapid growth and solidify its position as a leader in the AI-powered productivity space.
