Pebble Unveils Production-Ready All-Electric Travel Trailer at CES 2025

Bingrui Yang's vision for the RV industry has finally taken shape, as Pebble unveiled its production-ready all-electric travel trailer, Pebble Flow, at CES 2025. The 25-foot trailer, which starts at $109,500, is designed to bring electrification, automation, and iPhone-like usability to the RV world.

The Pebble Flow boasts an impressive array of features, including a 45 kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery, 1 kW of rooftop solar, plug-and-play ready AC and DC charging capability, and regenerative charging that sends electrons back into the battery while it's being towed. The trailer sleeps up to four people and comes with a range of customization options, which can be explored through Pebble's newly launched configurator.

In addition to the standard model, Pebble is offering two other versions: a founders edition, priced at $175,000, which comes loaded with all options and upgrades, as well as a limited-edition color; and an upgraded $135,000 version, which adds features such as a dual-motor drivetrain called the "magic pack." This innovative system propels the travel trailer while it's being towed, allowing the EV that is towing the trailer to preserve its own range and even boost the fuel economy of a gas-powered vehicle.

The "magic pack" also enables the Pebble Flow to be self-propelled, which, when paired with sensors and Nvidia's Drive Orin, allows for a range of automated features designed to make towing and setting up the trailer easier. One of the most notable features is a remote control hitch, which can be operated via the app, allowing users to remotely move the trailer into place.

Yang's primary vision for Pebble Flow is to make towing and camping in a travel trailer easy and accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level. As he stated in a video released at CES 2025, "Any beginner that has never used an RV before can take a Pebble Flow and easily figure out how to have a good time with their family. We want to build a world where home can be anywhere you want to take it."

The production-intent Pebble Flow has undergone significant changes since its prototype was revealed in October 2023. The kitchen cabinets have been redesigned to flip up rather than down, the entry door is now higher, and side and rear windows have been added. The design team has also given the production version a more aerodynamic shape and added a moon roof over the dining area. The caster wheel has been re-engineered to be more durable and now features an auto-level feature to increase ground clearance. Four cameras have been added to support the automated features.

Many of these changes were made in response to feedback from 3,000 members of Pebble's community, which includes pre-order customers, RV and camping enthusiasts, and "digital nomads." This latter group is a key part of Yang's vision for the Pebble Flow, and the startup has taken their input seriously in designing a product that meets their needs.

Pebble, which has raised $55 million from venture firms such as Lightspeed, Vision+, and UpHonest Capital, plans to begin production early this year, with first deliveries expected in spring 2025. With its innovative tech and user-friendly design, the Pebble Flow is poised to revolutionize the RV industry and make camping and travel more accessible to everyone.

The implications of Pebble Flow's debut are far-reaching, with potential to disrupt the traditional RV industry and create new opportunities for innovation and growth. As the world becomes increasingly focused on sustainability and electrification, Pebble Flow is well-positioned to capitalize on these trends and bring a new level of excitement and accessibility to the world of RVing.
