Nvidia Unveils DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation for Enhanced Gaming Performance

Nvidia has announced a significant upgrade to its Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology, dubbed DLSS 4, which promises to revolutionize gaming performance with its new Multi-Frame Generation capability. This feature, available on systems with the latest RTX 50 Series GPUs, can generate up to three additional frames per traditionally rendered frame, resulting in a potential 8x increase in frame rates over traditional brute-force rendering.

The new DLSS 4 technology leverages the power of transformer architecture, similar to that found in AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, to create more efficient and effective graphics models. According to Nvidia, these new models are 40% faster and use 30% less VRAM than their predecessors, making them ideal for demanding applications like 4K 240fps gaming with full ray tracing.
