Nothing, the tech startup founded by Carl Pei, is gearing up to launch two new phones, the Phone 3A and 3A Pro, and thanks to a series of leaks, we now have a comprehensive look at the devices' design, specs, and features.
The leaks, which include official renders and reveal videos, show that both phones will feature Nothing's signature semi-transparent design language and Glyph lighting system, available in black and white versions. The only notable design difference between the two phones is the camera module, with the 3A Pro featuring a more avant-garde arrangement of its three lenses and flash in a circular module.
In terms of specs, both phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor and feature 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED displays. They will also include a new button that triggers an AI assistant and a feature called "Essential Space," which appears to be an AI-powered, visual to-do list.
The camera specs are where the two phones differ, with the 3A Pro featuring a 3x periscope lens, while the 3A has a shorter 2x telephoto lens, both with a 50-megapixel resolution. The front camera on the Pro model will have a 50-megapixel sensor, while the 3A will have a 32-megapixel sensor.
These camera specs match the few details that Nothing confirmed in a video released earlier this week, which compared the 3A series' cameras to an iPhone 16 Pro Max's. However, fans quickly pointed out an error in the video, where the iPhone was using its ultrawide lens instead of the optically-stabilized main camera in a segment boasting about the Nothing phone's video stabilization. Nothing acknowledged the mistake in a pinned comment on the YouTube video, promising to be more careful in future comparisons.
The Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro are set to be officially revealed on March 4th, during the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona. It remains to be seen if the phones will be available in the US, as last year's Nothing Phone 2A was only available through a limited developer program.
This leak provides a significant amount of information about the upcoming phones, and it will be interesting to see how they compare to other flagship devices in the market. With the official launch just around the corner, we can expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks.
