Lenovo Unveils Upgraded Yoga Device Lineup with Bigger Displays and AI-Powered Features

Lenovo has announced a significant update to its Yoga device lineup, featuring larger OLED displays, Intel Core Ultra chips, and a range of AI-powered features. The new lineup includes a dual-screen Yoga Book 9i, a Yoga Slim 9i with camera-under-display technology, and a Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition convertible notebook.

The Yoga Book 9i, a dual-screen laptop, now boasts 14-inch OLED displays with a 2.8K resolution at 120Hz, making it a significant upgrade from its predecessor. The displays are also brighter, with a peak brightness of 750 nits, compared to 400 nits on the previous model. The laptop is powered by Intel's latest Arrow Lake 255H processor and can be configured with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Additionally, it features three Thunderbolt 4 ports, four speakers, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.

Lenovo has also packed the Yoga Book 9i with a range of AI-powered applications, including its own Smart Note note-taking app, a book synopsis-generating eReader app called Smart Reader, and a hand gesture feature called Air Gestures to move windows and scroll. The laptop also features a bigger battery and an improved folio case/stand design.

The Yoga Slim 9i, on the other hand, is a lightweight laptop powered by NPU-packing Intel Core Ultra chips, earning it a Windows 11 Copilot Plus PC designation. It features a 14-inch PureSight Pro OLED display with a 4K resolution at 120Hz, a 98 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a no-notch webcam for an attractive, bezel-free design. The laptop also boasts Lenovo's AI Core system, which dynamically adjusts settings in creative apps to help improve battery life, up to 17 hours on a 75Wh battery.

The Yoga Slim 9i also features a "world's first" camera-under-display technology, allowing for an unobstructed viewing experience. It has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a quartet of Dolby Atmos-capable speakers, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, all packed into a 2.26-pound package.

In addition to the Yoga Book 9i and Yoga Slim 9i, Lenovo has also updated its Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition convertible notebook with a new, brighter 14-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,100 nits. The company has also announced new Yoga Slim 7i (Aura Edition) and new 16- and 14-inch 2-in-1 7i models, all featuring Intel processors.

In terms of pricing and availability, the Yoga Slim 9i starts at $1,849, while the 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition starts at $1,599. Both will ship starting in February. The Yoga Book 9i dual-screen laptop will set you back at least $1,999 and will ship beginning in May. Lenovo is offering a free two-month Adobe Creative Cloud membership with the purchase of select 2025 Yoga models.

The updated Yoga device lineup from Lenovo is a significant move in the competitive laptop market, offering users larger displays, improved performance, and innovative AI-powered features. As the technology landscape continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how Lenovo's new lineup fares against its competitors.
