Lena Dunham, the acclaimed creator of HBO's "Girls," is set to adapt Michael Lewis' book "Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon" into a limited series for Apple, Variety reports. The book chronicles the life of Sam Bankman-Fried and the stunning collapse of his cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, in 2022.
The FTX saga, which resulted in Bankman-Fried's criminal indictment for money laundering and fraud, has captivated the tech world and is expected to receive the Hollywood treatment. Dunham will write the script for the Apple series, which will delve into the meteoric rise and dramatic fall of FTX, once one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.
This is not the only project in the works, as Variety also reports that Amazon and another unnamed streamer are developing rival limited series about Bankman-Fried and FTX. The tech world will be watching closely to see which adaptation comes out on top.
