Indian AI Startup Neysa Aims to Disrupt Global Hyperscalers with Flexible, Open-Source Solutions

As India's AI market is projected to touch $17 billion by 2027, Mumbai-based startup Neysa is poised to capitalize on this growth opportunity by offering AI and machine learning infrastructure and platform as a service to enterprise customers. Founded by seasoned tech entrepreneur Sharad Sanghi, Neysa provides dedicated machine learning operations and infrastructure consulting teams to help customers find the right fit for their infrastructure and customize models to their needs.

Neysa's flagship platform, Velocis, launched in July, offers on-demand access to computing infrastructure, with plans to expand its product lineup by year-end. The startup is also working on developing an "observability for better management" of its infrastructure and securing AI workloads. With its entire suite of offerings, Neysa aims to compete with global hyperscalers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure, differentiating itself through "flexibility" in its models and open-source nature.

Backed by $30 million in Series A funding, Neysa plans to augment its infrastructure, enhance R&D, and broaden its go-to-market strategy. The startup has already attracted 12 paying customers, with 70% opting for private clusters and 30% on public clouds. With its sights set on global markets, Neysa is expected to raise further funding in the next six to nine months to fuel its expansion.
