Google's latest Android 15 update has introduced a game-changing feature called App Freeze, designed to help users save storage space on their devices. This innovative feature archives unused apps and their data, freeing up valuable storage space on your phone.
With App Freeze, users no longer need to delete unused apps to free up space. Instead, the feature automatically archives apps that haven't been used in a while, removing unnecessary files and leaving behind a fragment of the original app. To reactivate an archived app, users simply need to tap and launch it, and all their data will be intact.
The App Freeze feature is enabled by default on new Pixel phones running Android 15 and can be accessed through the "Manage app if unused" setting. Users can also manually archive apps by ensuring the "Manage app if unused" slider is in the On position.
This feature is a significant development for the tech community, particularly for startup founders and entrepreneurs who rely heavily on their mobile devices. With App Freeze, users can now manage their storage space more efficiently, freeing up room for more important files and data.
