Notion, the popular productivity and collaboration platform, has announced the launch of Notion Mail, a new email client that integrates with its existing suite of tools. The announcement was made at the company's first "Make with Notion" user conference, where Notion also showcased a range of new features and updates.
Notion Mail, currently in preview, promises to revolutionize the way users manage their emails. By leveraging AI technology, the client allows for smart filtering and automated organization of emails, making it easier for users to prioritize and focus on important messages. Additionally, Notion Mail integrates seamlessly with Notion Calendar, enabling users to schedule meetings and appointments directly from their inbox.
The launch of Notion Mail marks a significant expansion of Notion's productivity suite, which now boasts over 100 million users. The company's acquisition of Skiff, a security-centric platform with end-to-end encrypted email, likely influenced the design of Notion Mail. However, Notion's focus is on integration with its AI technology, rather than security features.
Other notable updates from Notion include the launch of Notion Forms, a tool for designing and collecting information, as well as improved automation features and a redesigned Marketplace web experience. These developments solidify Notion's position as a leading provider of productivity solutions.
