Google has announced that its upgraded NotebookLM is now included in its One AI Premium plan, providing subscribers with access to premium features and higher usage limits. NotebookLM, launched in 2023, is an AI-powered note-taking app that allows users to research specific topics and organize notes.
The upgraded NotebookLM, dubbed NotebookLM Plus, was initially launched for businesses, schools, organizations, and enterprise customers in December. This premium version offers five times more Audio Overviews, notebooks, queries, and sources per notebook compared to the standard version. Additionally, NotebookLM Plus allows users to customize how they share their notebooks and track the number of views per day.
With the inclusion of NotebookLM Plus in the One AI Premium plan, subscribers will now have access to these premium features at no additional cost. The One AI Premium plan, priced at $19.99 per month, offers 2TB of storage and access to Google's Gemini Advanced models, as well as Gemini in Workspace apps like Gmail and Docs. Students over the age of 18 in the US can also get the One AI Premium plan for $9.99 per month for one year.
NotebookLM has evolved significantly since its launch, with the addition of interactive features such as the ability to dive deeper into YouTube videos and transform research into a podcast with two AI "hosts" that users can chat with. The integration of NotebookLM Plus into the One AI Premium plan is expected to further enhance the user experience and provide more value to subscribers.
The move is seen as a strategic effort by Google to strengthen its position in the AI-powered productivity tools market. By offering premium features and higher usage limits, Google aims to attract more users to its One AI Premium plan and increase its competitiveness against other AI-driven note-taking apps.
The implications of this development are far-reaching, with potential benefits for individuals, businesses, and educational institutions. The enhanced features and increased usage limits of NotebookLM Plus are likely to improve productivity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across various sectors.
As the AI landscape continues to evolve, Google's decision to upgrade NotebookLM and include it in its One AI Premium plan is a significant step forward. With the company's commitment to innovation and user experience, it will be interesting to see how NotebookLM Plus shapes the future of AI-powered productivity tools.
