The Future is Female Mentorship Programme, a PR and communications training programme exclusively for female founders, has announced its fifth cohort of 20 finalists from hundreds of applications across Africa. The selected startups, representing various countries including Morocco, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Tunisia, operate in industries such as healthtech, AI, cleantech, agritech, and logistics.
The programme, founded by Claudine Moore in 2020, aims to provide media training to female founders, bridging the gap in the tech industry. This year's edition is supported by partners including Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund, TechCabal, Africa Communications Week, and F6S.
As part of the training, the selected founders will participate in masterclasses led by industry experts, including Claudine Moore, Annie Mutumba, Eniola Harrison, and TechCabal. The programme will cover topics such as working with the media, venture capital funding, and scaling their businesses.
The Future is Female Mentorship Programme has supported hundreds of African female tech founders over the past five years, and this cohort marks a significant milestone in its mission to empower women in the tech industry.
