Fortnite Overhauls Battle Pass System for Seamless Progression

Epic Games, the developer of the popular battle royale game Fortnite, is revamping its battle pass system to provide a more seamless experience for players. Starting November 2nd, players will be able to progress through various battle passes using XP earned across different modes, including Lego Fortnite and Fortnite Festival.

Currently, players must earn separate currencies, such as "studs" and "festival points," to progress through these modes. However, with the update, XP will be the universal currency, allowing players to progress through all battle passes simultaneously. This change aims to address the growing pains of Fortnite's transition from a single-mode game to a platform with multiple experiences.

The update will also introduce new features, including the ability to directly purchase rewards on a pass and a single bundle purchase option for all battle passes. These changes come just before the conclusion of the current Marvel-themed season, which is set to end on Saturday.

This overhaul marks a significant step in Epic Games' efforts to create a more cohesive and engaging experience for Fortnite players, and demonstrates the company's commitment to evolving its platform to meet the needs of its growing user base.
