In a move to strengthen its home security offerings, Ecobee has partnered with Yale and August to integrate their smart locks with its Smart Security system. This collaboration will enable users to disarm and arm their security system, check lock status, and remotely control locks from the Ecobee app, creating a seamless experience.
The expanded system will leverage Ecobee's occupancy sensors, doorbell camera, and smart sensors to provide a comprehensive whole-home solution for energy management and security. This integration will deliver comfort, convenience, and peace of mind to Ecobee users.
The partnership is a significant development in the smart home industry, as it brings together three trusted brands to provide an enhanced security experience. Ecobee users can pair their Smart Security subscription, ranging from $5 to $10 monthly, with Yale's Addure Lock 2, Assure Lock 2 Touch, and Approach Lock, all with Wi-Fi capabilities.
