Creatopy, a startup revolutionizing digital advertising with AI-powered ad creation, has appointed Tammy H. Nam as its new CEO. Nam, who previously served as COO and CMO at photo-editing startup PicsArt, brings her expertise in scaling early-stage startups and marketing technology to the role.
Nam's appointment comes at a critical juncture for Creatopy, which has seen remarkable growth in the past year. The company claims to have grown its mid-market and enterprise revenue by 400% between February 2024 and February 2025, with much of that growth coming in the past six months. This rapid expansion has been fueled by the adoption of its AI-driven ad creation platform by major enterprise customers, including AstraZeneca, NASCAR, and The Economist.
According to Nam, Creatopy's ability to land major enterprise customers in demanding industries like pharma and banking is a testament to the platform's unique value proposition. She attributes this success to the company's intuitive interface, unique product capabilities, and excellent customer service. As large language models become increasingly ubiquitous, Nam believes that Creatopy's ability to understand customer needs and deliver high-touch value on top of AI-driven ad creation will be a key differentiator.
Brand safety is also a top priority for Nam, who emphasized that marketing managers can upload brand kits during account setup, ensuring that every AI-generated ad adheres to their brand guidelines. This focus on brand safety is critical in an era where AI-generated content is becoming increasingly prevalent.
Nam's vision for Creatopy is to amplify strategic thinking with AI, rather than replacing it. She cited examples of customers reporting a 10x or more increase in productivity due to the elimination of tedious, manual work involved in generating hundreds of ad variations across sizes, formats, and languages.
The appointment of Nam as CEO is seen as a strategic move by Creatopy's investors, including European VCs 3VC and Point Nine, which led a $10 million Series A funding round last year. 3VC partner Eva Arh described Nam as "one of the best operators I know," highlighting her ability to scale early-stage startups and work with European founders.
As Nam takes the reins at Creatopy, she will also join the company's board, while previous CEO Dan Oros steps into an advisory role. With her wealth of experience and expertise in marketing technology, Nam is well-positioned to drive Creatopy's continued growth and expansion in the digital advertising landscape.
The appointment of Nam as CEO marks an exciting new chapter for Creatopy, as the company continues to push the boundaries of AI-powered ad creation and drive innovation in the digital advertising industry.
