Clicks Brings BlackBerry-Style Physical Keyboard Cases to Android Devices

Clicks, a company known for its BlackBerry-inspired physical keyboard cases, has announced its expansion into the Android market with the launch of three new products. The company is now offering its signature keyboard cases for the Google Pixel, Motorola Razr+, and Samsung Galaxy series, catering to Android users who crave a nostalgic typing experience.

The new cases are available for pre-order starting today, with prices initially set lower than their iPhone counterparts. The Pixel 9 and 9 Pro cases can be reserved for $99, while the Razr+ and Samsung Galaxy S25 cases are available for the same price with a $49 downpayment. However, prices will increase to $139 after March 21.

Clicks' iPhone cases, launched in 2024, have been a huge success, with over 100,000 units sold in more than 100 countries. The company's Android offerings aim to replicate this success, tapping into the nostalgia for physical keyboards reminiscent of BlackBerry devices. While the iPhone cases have received praise, some users have reported an awkward typing experience due to the weight and shape of the case combined with the iPhone.

Clicks acknowledges that its cases may require a learning curve, and has released comprehensive help documentation to guide users on proper phone handling techniques. Despite the initial adjustment, many users have grown to appreciate the unique typing experience offered by Clicks' cases.

The Android keyboard cases feature a range of premium features, including metal dome switches for tactile feedback, backlit keys, support for keyboard shortcuts, a microfibre interior, and USB-C charging (with wireless charging available for Pixel devices). Additionally, a companion app allows users to save their preferences, further enhancing the overall typing experience.

The Pixel Clicks cases will be available in two color options, Surge (bright yellow) and Onyx (black), and are set to ship in late-April. The Razr+ cases will come in Electric (bright blue) and Onyx, shipping in late-May, while the Galaxy S25 cases will be available in Pinot (red) and Onyx, shipping in June.

The expansion into the Android market marks a significant milestone for Clicks, as the company continues to cater to users seeking a more tactile and nostalgic typing experience. With its premium features and competitive pricing, Clicks is poised to make a significant impact in the Android accessory market.

As the smartphone landscape continues to evolve, the demand for unique and functional accessories is on the rise. Clicks' Android keyboard cases are well-positioned to capitalize on this trend, offering a distinctive typing experience that sets them apart from more traditional keyboard solutions.

With its successful iPhone cases and now its expansion into the Android market, Clicks is solidifying its position as a leader in the niche market of physical keyboard cases. As the company continues to innovate and adapt to user needs, it will be interesting to see how its products shape the future of mobile typing experiences.
