Apple Unveils M4-Powered iMac with Enhanced Performance

Apple has officially kicked off "Mac week" with a major update to its popular all-in-one desktop, the iMac. The new iMac boasts the latest M4 chip, which promises to deliver a significant boost in performance, with Apple claiming it's 2x more powerful than the original M1 iMac.

The revamped desktop features a stunning 24-inch 4K display, accompanied by a 12-megapixel webcam designed to work seamlessly with Apple's Centerstage feature. The device's rear ports have also been upgraded to faster Thunderbolt 4, and the company has finally ditched Lightning in favor of USB-C for its keyboard, mouse, and trackpad accessories.

The new iMac is available for preorder starting at $1,299, which gets you an 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16GB of memory, upgradable to 32GB, 256GB, and up to 2TB. A higher-end option with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU starts at $1,499. Other notable upgrades include the nano-texture display for reduced glare.

The M4 iMac is set to start shipping on November 8 and will be available in a range of colors, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and the classic silver. With its enhanced performance and sleek design, this latest iteration of the iMac is sure to be a hit among creatives, entrepreneurs, and anyone looking for a powerful and stylish desktop solution.
