Apple is set to bring its Apple Intelligence features to the Vision Pro, a move that will significantly enhance the headset's capabilities. The exclusive features, which include Create Memory Movie, writing tools with ChatGPT, and more, will be available with the visionOS 2.4 update, currently available for developers and slated for public release in April.
The Create Memory Movie feature, built into the Photos app, allows users to enter a description or voice prompt, and Apple Intelligence will then find a photo or video that best matches the description. This "memory movie" can then be viewed on a large-scale virtual screen or inside a virtual environment, further solidifying the Vision Pro's position as a unique tool for viewing memories.
Other Apple Intelligence features coming to Vision Pro include writing tools with ChatGPT, which enable users to dictate memos or emails, create bulleted summaries, or edit the tone of a draft using AI. This feature addresses the challenges of writing within the headset, making it easier for users to create content without the need for a Bluetooth keyboard. Additionally, smart replies will be available, allowing users to automatically respond to messages with a tap.
Further features include Genmoji, Image Playground, priority notifications and summaries, and Image Wand, which lets users create more polished images based on rough sketches. Natural language search will also be available in the Photos app. A full list of Apple Intelligence features for visionOS can be found on Apple's website.
The visionOS 2.4 update will also bring several other features that address major pain points with using the headset. These include an improved, easier-to-use Guest Mode, as well as two new discovery apps for discovering content: one for the iPhone and the other acting as an Apple-curated content guide within the headset itself.
Notably, Apple Intelligence for visionOS will initially be available only in US English, with more features and languages slated to roll out throughout the year. This update marks a significant step forward for the Vision Pro, further establishing its position as a cutting-edge device in the world of virtual reality.
As Apple continues to push the boundaries of what is possible with its Vision Pro, this update is likely to have significant implications for the tech industry as a whole. With its focus on enhancing user experience and providing innovative features, Apple is setting a new standard for virtual reality devices.
Stay tuned for further updates on the visionOS 2.4 update and the Apple Intelligence features coming to the Vision Pro.
