Apple has officially launched its latest iMac refresh, featuring a new M4 processor, increased RAM, and a range of AI-powered features. The 24-inch all-in-one desktop computer is now available for preorder, with a release date set for November 8th.

The new iMac boasts a starting price of $1,299 and comes in a variety of colors, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. In addition to the M4 chip, the base model features 16GB of RAM, a significant upgrade from the 8GB found in its predecessor. This increased memory will be essential for handling Apple's new AI-powered features, which are set to arrive as part of macOS Sequoia 15.1.

Other notable upgrades include a new 12MP FaceTime camera and USB-C peripherals. The iMac also comes with a Magic Keyboard and a choice of either a Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad, both of which now feature USB-C ports.

The higher-end models, starting at $1,499, offer additional features such as four Thunderbolt 4 ports, 16GB RAM, and 256GB of storage. Customers can also upgrade to 24GB of RAM or 512GB of storage for an extra $200.

This latest release is part of Apple's week-long series of Mac announcements, with the company expected to reveal new silicon for the MacBook Pro and Mac Mini in the coming days. The MacBook Air, however, is not expected to receive similar treatment until 2025.

With its increased power, memory, and AI capabilities, the new M4 iMac is poised to be a game-changer for professionals and consumers alike. Whether you're an early adopter or simply looking to upgrade your current setup, Apple's latest offering is definitely worth considering.
