Apple Intelligence, the tech giant's artificial intelligence platform, is set to launch on EU iPhones in April, according to an Irish Apple newsroom post. This move marks a significant expansion of AI capabilities for Apple users in the region.
The rollout will include core features such as Writing Tools, Genmoji, a redesigned Siri with richer language understanding, and ChatGPT integration. EU users can get a taste of Apple Intelligence sooner by trying the initial features on their Mac with macOS Sequoia 15.1, which includes AI-powered writing tools, Siri improvements, and email summaries in Mail.
Additionally, Apple announced that Apple Intelligence will launch in localized English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK in December, likely with the release of iOS 18.2. This update is expected to add more Apple Intelligence features, including Siri's ChatGPT upgrade.
The launch of Apple Intelligence in the EU is a significant development in the tech industry, as it brings AI capabilities to a wider user base and further solidifies Apple's position in the AI market.
