AMD Accelerates Launch of Next-Gen Data Center GPUs, MI350 Series

AMD has announced that it will be launching its next-generation data center GPUs, the MI350 series, earlier than initially planned. During the company's Q4 2024 earnings call, CEO Lisa Su revealed that AMD will begin sampling the MI350 with "lead customers" this quarter, with production shipments expected to accelerate to mid-year.

This accelerated timeline marks a significant shift from AMD's original plan to launch the MI350 series in the second half of 2025. According to Su, the company's bring-up process has progressed better than expected, and strong customer demand has driven the decision to expedite the launch.
