Amazon Prime Members Get a Fuel-ly Good Deal

In a move to sweeten the deal for its loyal customers, Amazon has partnered with BP to offer Prime members an exclusive discount on gas at participating BP and Amoco stations. By linking their Amazon account with BP's Earnify rewards program, Prime members can save 10 cents a gallon on fuel purchases. This perk comes on the heels of Amazon's recent addition of free food delivery through Grubhub, further bolstering the appeal of its subscription and streaming service.

The new benefit is likely a strategic move to maintain Prime's popularity as subscription and streaming service prices continue to rise. According to analysts at CIRP, approximately three-quarters of Amazon shoppers are now Prime members, up from 50% in 2016.

What's more, Amazon has announced plans to expand the discount program to include savings on EV charging in 2025, a significant development in the growing electric vehicle market.
